Beauveria Bassiana is a naturally occurring fungus found in soils worldwide. It acts as a parasite on various arthropod species, causing white muscardine disease. Widely used as a biological insecticide, it effectively controls numerous pests, including bed bugs, termites, thrips, whiteflies, aphids, and various beetles.

Once Beauveria Bassiana infects its host, the fungus rapidly multiplies inside the insect’s body, feeding on its nutrients and continuously releasing toxins.

Insecticidal Mechanism

Beauveria Bassiana is a pathogenic fungus that, under suitable environmental conditions, produces spores that adhere to pests upon contact. These spores dissolve the insect’s outer shell, invade the body, and grow internally. The fungus consumes nutrients within the pest, forming extensive mycelium and spores. Simultaneously, it produces toxins like Bassiana and Oosporin, which disrupt pest metabolism, ultimately causing death.

  1. No Pesticide Residues
Agricultural products often face rejection due to high pesticide residues. Crops treated with Beauveria Bassiana leave no residue, even when harvested immediately after application.
  2. No Resistance Development
Unlike chemical pesticides, pests do not develop immunity to Beauveria Bassiana. Its efficacy increases with consecutive years of application.
  3. Regrowth Capability
As a living biological agent, Beauveria Bassiana continues to grow and multiply under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, enhancing its insecticidal effects over time.
  4. High Selectivity
Unlike chemical solutions, which harm both pests and beneficial insects, Beauveria Bassiana specifically targets harmful species. Its impact on non-target organisms like ladybugs, grasshoppers, and aphids is minimal, ensuring a better overall control effect.
  5. Insecticide Targets
Beauveria Bassiana is effective against a range of pests, including locusts, aphids, potato beetles, leafhoppers, planthoppers, and various lepidopteran larvae such as corn borers, pine caterpillars, and peach borers.

Wide Spectrum:

Beauveria Bassiana can parasitize over 700 insect and mite species across 15 orders and 149 families, including Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, Homoptera, and Orthoptera.
Targets include corn borers, moths, weevils, potato beetles, leafhoppers, planthoppers, cutworms, and various underground pests such as wireworms and maggots.

Non-Drug Resistance:

As a microbial fungicide, Beauveria Bassiana eliminates pests through parasitic reproduction, ensuring no resistance develops even with prolonged use.

Safe to Use:

This fungus exclusively targets pest species without harming crops, regardless of concentration, making it a reliable and damage-free solution.

Low Toxicity and Eco-Friendly:

Produced via fermentation, Beauveria Bassiana contains no chemical additives, making it a green and safe biological pesticide.
It leaves no environmental pollution and improves soil health.
