In farming, it acts as an oxygen-requiring nitrogen-fixing microbe, thriving in the roots, stems, and foliage of crops like sugarcane and coffee. It synthesizes growth-enhancing compounds like Indole Acetic Acid and Gibberellic Acid, encouraging root branching and boosting nutrient uptake, water absorption, and phosphate breakdown. This fosters vigorous development and enhances sugar extraction in sugarcane plantations.
